NEW DELHI: Metal shares were trading with losses in Friday’s session.

Shares of Jindal Steel & Power (down 2.48 per cent), Vedanta (down 1.21 per cent), Coal India (down 1.07 per cent), National Aluminium Company (down 1.04 per cent), Tata Steel (down 0.85 per cent), Hindustan Copper (down 0.83 per cent), JSW Steel (down 0.73 per cent), Hindustan Zinc (down 0.2 per cent), Steel Authority of India (down 0.18 per cent) and NMDC Ltd (down 0.07 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Metal index was trading 0.61 per cent down at 1685.2 around 02:20PM .

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 73.80 points at 9272.85 , while the BSE Sensex was up 275.71 points at 31719.09 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
