NEW DELHI: Metal stocks were trading on a mixed note at 12:24PM (IST) on Thursday.

Shares of Hindustan Zinc NSE 4.93 % (up 3.78 per cent), Hindalco Industries NSE 0.72 % (up 0.67 per cent), MOIL NSE -0.53 % (up 0.47 per cent), Hindustan Copper (up 0.13 per cent) and Ratnamani Metals & Tubes (up 0.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Mishra Dhatu Nigam NSE -2.50 % (down 1.89 per cent), Jindal Steel & Power (down 1.69 per cent), Welspun Corp NSE 0.48 % (down 1.26 per cent), Steel Authority of India NSE -1.81 % (down 1.09 per cent) and National Aluminium Company (down 0.93 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Metal index was trading 0.05 per cent down at 2526.55 around 12:24PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 57.95 points at 11607.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 216.56 points at 39290.48.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Tata Motors, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, DLF and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Tata Elxsi, Central Depository Services (India) Ltd., Strides Shasun , Atul Ltd and Ruchi Soya Inds hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
