According to a trade group data, Turkey’s crude steel production stood at 5.9 million tons in January-February, increasing 12.7 percent from the same period 2019.

As said by the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD), Turkey’s steel products exports volume decreased 4.9 percent yearly to 3.6 million tons in the first two months of 2020.

Turkey’s incomes from steel exports reached USD2.5 billion, which is a drop of 9.6 percent during the same period.

The steel imports posted a 40.4 percent yearly increase, standing at 2.6 million tons from January to February and in terms of worth, crude steel imports grew 16.3 percent yearly to USD1.8 billion.
